Where delamination is severe, there is no more structure and the hull is fragile. This sort of dama- ge is usually repaired by injecting resin or other materials that serve the same purpose as resin inside the hull. Alternatively, several layers of the laminate are removed until the entire delaminated part is excavated, then new woven rovings im- pregnated with resin are laid. Such a method is expensive but effective if delamination is not too extensive. 2) Osmosis: osmosis is a frightening phenome- non, but in fact causes no consequence to the hull structure unless it has been there for decades. Osmosis only scares our wallet, so we need to find it out early, or in the initial phase. In case it is found out, repair work has to be negotiated with the seller. On top, a boat has suffered severe damage after a violent impact with rocks. In the centre, the fin of a boat that has hit rocks at moderate speed.
