Garmin launches on the market a new smartwatch intended for boating
enthusiasts: it is the Quatix 6X Solar, which complements the MARQ
Captain: American Magic model, introduced a few days ago and aimed
at celebrating the America's Cup.
With its 51mm case and 1. 4" display, this sportswatch is packed with
technology. It is a great choice for those who want to constantly keep
track of their physical activity as well as for sea lovers. On the inno

vative side, it features a Power Glass photovoltaic lens that extends
battery life.
The bezel and bracelet are made of grade 2 satin titanium to combine
strength and lightness, and the standard strap can be replaced with a
cirrus blue silicone strap included in the package. As for sailing featu

res, Quatix 6X Solar hooks up wirelessly to compatible multifunction
chartplotters so that data coming from on-board sensors appears
directly on the watch, and can connect to NMEA 2000 networks via the
GNT 10 transceiver.
The Garmin sportswatch can receive emails, text messages and alerts
directly on the watch with the Smart Notification function. It also allows
you to make contactless payments via Garmin Pa, listen to music
through Bluetooth headphones and exercise using its fitness tracking
system and sports-friendly features such as the heart rate sensor.
Quatix 6X Solar is available with a QuickFit™ titanium and a cirrus blue
silicone strap at a price of € 1,149. 00 including VAT.
