When lifted, the bathing plat- form of the sport version has the taffrail flush with the cockpit decking, whereas the other remains a little higher. Rudder The shipyard decided to fit a single, very deep rud- der blade Helmsman's benches In the standard version we find the aft helmsman's benches with two underlying lockers. Winches moved aft The winches have been moved considerably aft, almost beside the helm, and are very comfortable to use. Roll-bar The roll-bar is made of carbon, which allows for a more stylish and thin shape and, above all, elimina- tes the need for supports. Underbody The underbody has a remarkable forward volume. The designer has moved the point where the under- body starts to rise, and this results in a wider lower hull, which is reflected in the internal volume. GS LC42 4,18 mt 13,71 ft Chain well The chain well is well designed. It is deep and slo- ping, and should not require anyone to intervene when hauling the anchor. Sundeck The forward sundeck, with the cushions placed in a recess, is well thought out.Here you may choose to fit an awning on a steel frame in order to shelter all the cushions from the sun. Long companionway For a boat of this type the companionway is unu- sually long. This allows for a very shallow stair that can be descended facing forward. Cockpit benches The cockpit benches are 55 centimetres deep, about 7- 8 centimetres deeper than the average, which makes them particularly comfortable. In ad- dition, they are about 40 centimetres longer. In the final part, the bench opens like a hatch and allows access to a small locker suitable for storing the li- nes coming from the cam cleats when they are not being used.
