and original design. Such lack of innovation was
not found on the previous model, the Oceanis 46.1
which had a remarkably original dinette.
Conclusion
As we have seen, each boat has her strengths and
weaknesses. In our opinion, the Jeanneau model
is more suitable for those who want a sportier
boat that ensures more satisfaction under sail,
even if the comfort of the ramps that lead to the
deck collides with this idea of greater sportiness.
On the other hand, the Bénéteau boat is more su-
itable for those who love cruising comfort, ease
of use and a different, perhaps more usable, inte-
rior layout. This boat, however, pays the price of
less exciting performance, also caused by a very
small sail plan. Such sail plan might be replaced
with the options supplied by the yard itself. When
requesting a different sail plan, you should consi-
der that you risk distorting the focus of this boat,
which was created to offer comfort on board ra-
ther than performance.

here are two Bénéteau trials bases in
Italy, both managed by NSS Charter
(formerly North Sardinia Sail). One of them
is located in Cala dei Sardi, Sardinia, and
the other one in Marina Cala de'Medici,
Tuscany. We thank Serena Scarinci, the
sales manager of the NSS group, for the
assistance she wanted to give us.
In the Cala dei Sardi and Marina Cala
de' Medici trials bases,
almost all the Bénéteau
models can be found
from October to March.
