ith the new 50, the tradition of the Hallberg
Rassy with a central cockpit is renewed as are
all the other large-sized models.
Designed by the Frers firm as always, the 50 is aimed
at experienced yachtsmen who wish to purchase their
permanent boat after having owned several models.
With her medium-heavy displacement, this boat is
suitable for places where the wind is felt, but struggles
in weak-wind areas as are generally our seas.
In this new 50 we find once again the main features
of the shipyard's new range: the electrically control
-
led swim platform, the twin rudder blade, the twin
wheelhouse and the wide stern.
As for the rest, we all know that Hallberg Rassy stands
for tradition, so changes must be made sparingly.
This is why the interior style is more modern, but
does not stray too far away from the sober elegance
that has been the typical feature of the shipyard for
many decades.
The distinctive highlights that created the Hallberg
Rassy legend remain unchanged: low centre of
gravity thanks to the weight being concentrated at the
bottom and amidships, a huge engine compartment
capable of accommodating all on-board systems,
draft and sail plan well proportioned to the sailing
style for which the boat has been designed, quality
equipment and construction.
